Stamford High School Old Girl wins at Retail Week Magazine’s Rising Star Awards
Zoe Rawnsley, Stamford High School Old Girl (’12), has gone on to win the title of the UK’s No1 Apprentice of the Year at the Retail Week Magazine’s Rising Star Awards.
After leaving Stamford High School Zoe joined the Boots Apprenticeship Scheme, where she studied for a Foundation Degree in Business and Administrative Management. Whilst studying she gained a role in Learning and Development within the HR branch of the company, and as she was working on the programme Zoe said: “I set high standards for myself and really wanted to support others as well as drive my own learning.” As a result she has graduated from her degree to become the Learning and Development Designer for Boots UK running all the training for Premium Beauty, Fragrance, Self-Selection and Christmas.
It was then that Boots recognised her commitment and put her forward for Retail Week Magazine’s Rising Star Awards, a yearly awards programme that acknowledges the best up-and-coming talent in all areas of retail. After winning the “City & Guilds Kineo Apprentice of the Year’ award Zoe stated: “I feel that my drive and determination was supported when I was in the High School and it is fantastic that I was able to achieve this award.”
