State schools can be more exclusive than private schools, says GSA head

More parents buy their way into top state schools through the housing market than buy places in private schools, says the incoming president of the Girls’ Schools Association, Alun Jones.

Alun Jones, who is also Headmaster at St Gabriel’s School in Newbury, also said that the Labour party is going back to the class wars of the seventies in its desire to limit the tax allowances that independent schools currently receive.
