Upward trend in A level grades

Many GSA schools are reporting an upward trend in their A Level grades this morning.

In London Putney High School reports over a quarter of candidates earning A* grades and record numbers of students gaining entry to Oxbridge. Bruton School for Girls has announced its best ever set of A Level results with 28% of candidates achieving the top A* grade. Heathfield School in Ascot is having a record year with over four in ten (42%) of the exams taken being awarded the top A*-A grades.

Wimbledon High School is celebrating a five year high for A*- A grades (66%) and A* – B grades (91%), Mayfield School has an A* to B pass rate of over 75%, and in Bristol, almost half of all grades at Redland High School are A* – A.

Further north, 70% of all grades at Manchester High School for Girls were A* and A, and in Oxfordshire 66% of results at St Helen and St Katharine were A*- A.
