Pudsey Makes a Surprise Visit to Malvern St James

28 November 2016

The girls were thrilled to meet Pudsey, who joined in with their Morning Movement dance routine. Poppy Blandford (Year 4) presented Pudsey with a cheque for over £360, which was raised by pupils and staff at MSJ, with more money still coming in.

All sorts of fundraising activities took place at MSJ to raise money for Children in Need. These included a treasure hunt around the school and the sale of Pudsey Bear-shaped biscuits. MSJ’s Charities Committee team also came up with the idea of making pirate hats, eye patches and bandanas to celebrate BBC Hereford and Worcester’s pirate theme. The girls and many of the staff also came to school dressed as pirates, which added to the fun and excitement of the day.

Mrs Olivera Raraty, Headmistress, said, “This year the whole school came together to raise money for Children in Need. We were thrilled to support such a fantastic charity and the pirate theme captured everyone’s imagination. Pudsey’s visit was the highlight of the week and I’m sure the girls will remember his visit for a long time to come.”
