Headington’s Dads4Daughters launch

On 27th March 2017, Dads, Daughters, and alumnae gathered for Headington’s launch of Dads4Daughters.

Dads4Daughters is a national gender equality campaign which was inspired by the UN’s HeForShe campaign for which Headington alumna, Emma Watson, is such a powerful advocate. We are most grateful to our panel for the evening for their perspective on gender equality within the workplace: Alice Pearson (a year 2000 leaver and member of the Headingtonians’ Committee), Headington Dads Chris Macfarlane and Justin Davey, and Head Girl Hannah Anson. It was an evening of lively discussion about our alumnae survey on workplace gender inequality with lots of pledges from Dads to champion equality within their own workplaces. We will be asking the Dads and Daughters to vote for their favourite pledges and then encouraging the Dads to bring these pledges to their workplaces. Watch this space and read the survey results here!
