Senior Maths Challenge Success

3 March 2017

In November over 82,000 sixth form pupils from schools across the country took part in the UK Mathematical Trust’s Senior Mathematics Challenge. The challenge involves answering complex problems, not usually encountered in the normal curriculum, requiring thought and application to solve.

Congratulations go to the six girls who received Bronze certificates: Jaimie Ng, Nerissa Lee, Celia Millar, Daisy Deards, Ursula Gannon and Vinci Cheng; an excellent achievement.

Particular mention and congratulations go to the two girls who were awarded Gold certificates: Lily Li in Lower Six, and Jessica Lau in Upper Six. Jessica achieved a sufficiently high score to be invited to take part in the next round of the challenge, the UK Senior Kangaroo, an outstanding achievement. She is aiming to study Medicine at university next year.

Well done to all our mathematicians.
