St Mary’s girls win Best Young Enterprise Company in Wiltshire

15 May 2017

Six members of St Mary’s Young Enterprise company, ‘Luna & Sol’, represented the school at the Young Enterprise Wiltshire County Final.

Lucy, Helena, Maddy, Alice, Clara and Alicia in LVI form set up an attractive trade stand, confidently answered questions from a wide range of judges and gave an engaging presentation telling the story of their company so far. Their company has created a brand selling a range of loose-leaf teas for the traditional market and ‘bubble tea’ for the teenage market. The judges were particularly impressed by their enthusiasm, passion and professionalism. The girls received lots of positive feedback about the quality of their marketing, the strength of their brand and the manner in which they conducted themselves.

The girls were sparky and enthusiastic when answering the judges’ questions and showed great professionalism during their engaging presentation. They won the award for Best Finances and the overall trophy for the Best Company in Wiltshire. Praise must also go to Maddy who won an award for her ‘Outstanding Individual’ contribution as Managing Director of the team.

We would like to congratulate the girls on their achievements and praise them for their efforts throughout the year. It has been an exciting journey and they have developed a whole host of skills that will be invaluable in their careers.

Having been crowned the best Young Enterprise company in Wiltshire, they are now looking forward to representing St Mary’s Calne at the South West Regional Final in June.
