Malvern St James aims to raise £10,000 for the local charity, as part of the school’s 10th anniversary celebrations.

A snake of 450 girls and staff, dressed in neon and sporting brightly coloured face paint, walked from Malvern St James, to The Beacon and back. Staff from Malvern Special Families greeted them as they reached the peak.

Malvern Special Families’ Community Fundraiser said, “A great big thank you to everyone for the massive achievement of getting everyone up to The Beacon. We really enjoyed and it was great to be able to be there and congratulate people on making it to the top.”

Mrs Olivera Raraty, Headmistress of Malvern St James, commented, “Everyone felt a real sense of achievement and enjoyed doing this as a whole school community.  We’re so lucky to have the hills on our doorstep – what better place to go for a walk, and raise money for a good cause in the process.”
