Fourteen year old St Swithun’s School pupil Elizabeth Adamson has been selected to represent Hampshire in the pentathlon.

Elizabeth took part in the Hampshire schools pentathlon competition on 25th May at Andover athletics track.

Despite the blistering 28° heat Elizabeth fought hard to win second place in the 800m, placing her on the podium. Elizabeth had an almost 3m lead in the shotput and achieved personal bests in the long jump and the hurdles.

She has now been selected for the Hampshire team.

Head of PE at St Swithun’s School, Zoe Enticknap, said “Elizabeth had a really successful day at the Hampshire schools’ pentathlon. The opportunity to represent Hampshire in the pentathlon is a fantastic achievement. We wish her every success when she competes for the county”.
