St Francis’ College – Celebrating A-Level Success

17 August 2017

Students and Staff at St. Francis’ College are celebrating another successful year of A-Level results.  The girls have achieved an amazing 90% A*-C Grades, with 48% (nearly half) of the grades being A*/A.  Over a quarter of the girls in Year 13 have gained three or more A*/A’s.

St. Francis’ College offers a wide range of A-Level subjects and the results are consistently excellent across all fields.  It is currently positioned in the ‘well above national average’ progress band in the DfE’s performance tables.  The College is thrilled to see that over 95% of students have already been offered places onto the University Course of their choice.

This includes the amazing achievement of Head Girl, Amy Lian who has 4 A*s and is going to Oxford to study Chemistry, Georgia Foot, Grace Twitchett, and Audrey Liu who also achieved all As.  They are going to Imperial to study Physics, Royal Veterinary College to study Veterinary Medicine and Imperial to study Computing.

Mrs Goulding, Headmistress has commented that “Despite changes to the examination system and at a time when it is increasingly difficult to get top grades, I am delighted that our girls have, once again, the kind of calibre of results which give them access to the best institutions in the world. I am so proud of their achievements, their hard work and the contribution of the staff in supporting these outcomes.”

Amy Lian said “I can’t thank my teachers enough for all the hard work they put in, I am thrilled with my results.  Thank you.”

A delighted Georgie Foot said “The College has nurtured me from my very early years in Prep right through to the Sixth Form.  I am so grateful to everyone for all they have done for me.  I am overwhelmed with my results and couldn’t be happier.”

Georgie’s Father went on to say “We are absolutely thrilled with Georgie’s results which have gained her a place at Imperial.  Georgie has worked hard to achieve the very best, but couldn’t have done it without the support and dedication of the St. Francis’ Staff.”
