Anna Turney has retired from competition and is now an inspirational speaker, encouraging people to build aspirations and follow their dreams. The UC4 girls (Year 10) were excited to hear her passionate talk on how you can achieve anything once you set your mind to it.
The talk was part of the Wellbeing Programme and focussed on how the people you surround yourself with can really motivate you to achieve your dreams. Anna asked the girls to reflect on and share things they appreciated about one another, before asking Anna various questions about her life and the importance of teamwork.
The motivational talk was a great way to end the first full week back at Cheltenham Ladies’ College. A big cheer concluded the conversation and girls were delighted to get a photo with Anna afterwards.
Anna said: “The girls were such confident speakers, asking many thoughtful questions which I was pleased to answer. A really positive audience.”
