Queenswood School‘s Music Department would like to congratulate Lily Harwood (Year 11) who at her first attempt has been offered a place in the Violin 1 section of the National Youth Orchestra.
As well as playing at the Albert Hall in the BBC Proms next summer Lily will also be performing the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall and many other venues around the country. The repertory includes Debussy, Ravel, Ligeti and Bernstein.
Lily is the first Queenswood Music Scholar for many years to win a place in this extremely prestigious orchestra, and the school is absolutely thrilled with her achievement.
