Congratulations to Talbot Heath pupil, Ella Pusey, for being selected for the England Under-18 football training camp, which will take place at the end of January at St George’s Park in Burton-upon-Trent. The 17-year-old has been playing for Yeovil Town Ladies FC in the Women’s Super League One for two seasons, where she makes the five hour round trip twice a week for training. The TH sixth former has made 11 appearances this season for Yeovil Town Ladies and was thrilled to be chosen for the U18 women’s training camp. Ella is hopeful it will lead to her England debut in the future.
On being selected Ella said: ‘I am delighted to be given this amazing opportunity and very much look forward to the exciting challenges ahead.’ Adding, ‘The Sports department at Talbot Heath have allowed me to flourish and I am very grateful for their continued support.’ This will be Ella’s second visit to the home of English football as Ella played at the Staffordshire grounds three years ago for the ISFA (Independent Schools Football Association).
