A welcome return to Alpine-conquering and skiing superstar Molly

11 May 2018

Spring heralds not only the start of sunnier days but also brings to an end a very successful ski season for Prior’s Field First Former Molly, who triumphantly returned to school last week with the Artemis British Interschool Ski U12 Girls trophy.

Guildford born Molly, who has been skiing since she was nineteen months old, spent the last four months in France competing in elite French and British ski competitions. The pinnacle of her many triumphs, which includes crowning Prior’s Field as school ski champions in March, is winning both the Finale Coupe D’Argent and the 47th Consiel Department Haute Savoie races. She comfortably beat the crème de la crème of young French racers in these highly ranked and elite races.

In conjunction with her dazzling success on the Alpine pistes this winter, Molly has been keeping pace with her studies with the help of her Tutor overseeing schoolwork sent by her Prior’s Field teachers. The support she has received from Prior’s Field has enabled her to enjoy her beloved skiing and participate at a high level while continuing to study at a level that enables her to settle back immediately into school life.

Molly’s dad and coach, Simon, who runs a ski instructing and holiday business in Megève, speaks about the dedication and hard work which has been required to beat the elite French skiers. He holds strong ambitions for Molly as they ultimately aim to be World Champions in the years to come. While Molly settles back into the routine of school and enjoys her annual short break away from training and competitions, her trophy is proudly displayed in the Head’s office.
