Dinosaurs brought to life for Monmouth children

4 May 2018

Children from Monmouth School Girls’ Prep met visitors from a prehistoric age in the main hall.

Realistic walking dinosaurs were brought to life for the whole school by rangers as part of the children’s What Lies Beneath study topic.

The Year 3 girls, in particular, had a special couple of days, firstly exploring the walkways and chambers of Dan-yr-Ogof Showcaves, spotting frozen waterfalls and angels’ wings.

And the girls were amazed to discover that several dinosaurs had followed them back to Inglefield House.

“We warned the girls to check the roof of the bus before they left the dinosaur park but they must have been too busy chatting about the caves and the animals that they had seen,” said teacher, Mrs Amanda Griffiths.
