Congratulations to Holly, Year 8, from St Mary’s School in Gerrards Cross, who won second place in the Independent Schools Association’s Max Gate English Essay Competition 2018. She wrote a detailed, philosophical and convincing piece on ‘Which is more important, numbers or words?’ The judge also commented on her technical structure and how readable her essay was, displaying sound reasoning on a demanding topic. Well done, Holly!
