In addition to the current sports hall and pool, the centre features; a new sports hall, multi-purpose activity studio, multi-purpose dance studio, five squash courts and a 58-station fitness gym, with free weights & spin area and a rowing & erg area.

On Saturday morning, Baroness Sue Campbell, FA Head of Women’s Football and former Chair of UK Sport and the Youth Sport Trust, will open the new Health and Fitness Centre. The rest of the day will consist of two pupil dance competitions and a sporting fairground for all guests, with activities from golf and archery to an inflatable obstacle course in the pool and a Welly Wang challenge. Other sessions include fencing, squash, cricket, netball, tennis, the Synergy Rig and Spin.

The opening of the Health and Fitness Centre marks a major landmark in the implementation of the school’s new strategy for engaging girls in sport and physical exercise, both at school and beyond.
