Over 65,000 visitors attended the South of England Agricultural Society summer show in Ardingly, where they enjoyed a showcase of British agriculture, horticulture, educational farming and countryside activities.
Pupils from thirty-one schools entered the competition. Sophie and Rosina were presented with certificates to mark their achievement and Burgess Hill Girls school won a bird box.
Burgess Hill Girls Head Liz Laybourn said: ˜This is a great achievement for Sophie and Rosina. The school’s situation so close to the beautiful countryside of the Sussex downs gives us a real connection to England’s enduring rural traditions. We’re looking forward to attracting a variety of species to the bird box.’
