A Levels Success for QM Girls

A Levels Success for QM Girls

16 August 2018

QM girls have achieved outstanding A Level results with over 79% of entries gaining A*-B grades and over 47% achieving the highly sought after A*-A grades, with outstanding achievements across all disciplines. Queen Margaret’s results place the School well above the national school averages.

Over 63% of all girls achieved three or more A*-B grades and 25% secured three or more A*-A grades. Several girls achieved top marks nationally, securing 100% in a number of A Level examination papers.

A remarkable success story is Selina Li who secured four A*s, in Biology, Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics. As one of only 10% of students nationally taking the Advanced Extension Award, Selina took this in Mathematics and achieved a distinction placing her in the top 4% of the country.

Queen Margaret’s Head, Jessica Miles, is delighted with the impressive results: “Today’s results are truly excellent. This is testament to the hard work, dedication and aspirational attitude and approach of our girls. It reflects QM’s excellence in teaching – we challenge our girls, inspiring them to be the very best versions of themselves and to achieve whatever they set their hearts and minds on. The young women at QM enjoy their education and achieve all that is within their potential and more. My congratulations go to them all and QM’s fantastic staff who support them every step of the way.”
