Charlotte’s Perfect Score at Talbot Heath

23 August 2018

International volleyball player and Talbot Heath pupil, Charlotte Wittram, achieved nine, level 9 GCSEs, alongside her intensive training for the England volleyball team. Charlotte is one of 732 students nationally who have achieved the full sweep of GCSEs at level 9. She has also competed in and trained for two major competitions this summer: the 2018 Global Challenge held in Pula, Croatia, and the first Home Nations Beach Volleyball Competition held in Cardiff.

Other GCSE successes included tennis ace, Esther Adeshina who achieved six GCSEs, and classmate and cross-country runner, Martha Pawson, who achieved nine GCSE’s. It was another year of success at the Rothesay Road school: 60% of GCSE grades were level 7-9, with 36% of those level 8 and 9. Mrs Holloway congratulated all of the GCSE students, adding, ‘so many have shown all-round excellence with their results, especially those who are balancing outside commitments with academic ones.’
