23 August 2018

Notre Dame Girls today celebrated an outstanding set of GSCE results with 52.3% of girls achieving a grade 7-9 (or equivalent) – more than double the national average for girls (23.4%) and 99.4% of girls achieving a grade 4 or above.

In Maths and English 100% of girls passed and were awarded a grade 4 or above. The outstanding areas were not only Art & Design (Textiles) and Art & Design with 100% and 95% grade 7-9 respectively, but Biology, Chemistry, Geography and History all had 60% or more achieving a grade 7-9, the highest grades.

Anna King, Senior School Headmistress said:
“We are extremely proud of all our students; they have worked very hard and achieved impressive results in the new GCSE examinations across the board. Standards of teaching of these new specifications have been outstanding and each girl has been carefully mentored and supported throughout the GCSE courses.”
