Once again, the autumn activities in the Food Department have got off to a flying start with a hard-fought, yet fabulous finale to our 2018 Master Chef Competition. A delectable delight of multicultural dishes were prepared, including Jamaican Jerk chicken with kidney bean rice and mango salsa, shahi paneer and Hungarian crepe cake. Huge congratulations go to Eliza Leaver-Smith who was awarded the Master-Chef trophy for her menu of Japanese firecracker chicken with fragrant rice, followed by a deliciously indulgent lemon cheesecake. Eliza, along with our runner up, Skye McPherson, will go forward to represent Talbot Heath in the local heats of the Rotary Young Chef Competition, taking place at Bournemouth and Poole College in the New Year.
