To commemorate the day, children and adults across the school community were given the chance to say thank you to their female role models. Their choices made and written on a whiteboard, they were then turned into special photographic thank yous. And with everyone from mums, sisters and grandmas to famous figures getting a mention, it proved a real celebration of the special women who make a difference to us all. Perhaps unsurprisingly, mums received the largest share of the vote, but the children also named historical female figures, artists and sportswomen as inspirations, alongside many of their Cranford House teachers.
