Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls welcomes you to our inaugural Pastoral Conference. This event features an array of pastoral and wellbeing specialists and speakers, who will be sharing their expertise and knowledge that will support your practice in the classroom and in your school.
Delegates will be able to choose from a wide range of talks from the following themes:
- Identify and Understand Unhealthy Coping Strategies
- Promoting a Positive Mindset
- Empowering Teachers, Pupils and Parents
Confirmed Keynote Speakers:
Professor Tanya Byron: A consultant clinical psychologist specialising in child and adolescent mental health. Tanya has an NHS career spanning twenty years working in many areas of mental health. She is an experienced public speaker and regularly gives talks on psychology, education and childcare. Her credits include Child of Our Time, Lose Weight for Love, The Truth About Child Sex Abuse, What’s The Right Diet For You?, Little Angels, House of Tiny Tearaways, All in the Mind, Bedtime Live and Newsnight.
Paul McGee (The SUMO Guy): Paul McGee is a bestselling author. He is an international keynote speaker and performance coach, combining his background in psychology with large doses of humour and practical insights. If dealing with change, developing resilience, increasing employee engagement, inspiring others and building better relationships is crucial to your organisation’s success, then you’ll find the SUMO approach invaluable.

Early bird tickets will be available before the 31 March 2019, tickets includes a welcome breakfast, refreshments and a hot lunch
