St Mary’s School, Cambridge, has further enhanced its exceptional careers service, by becoming one of the first schools in the UK to join the innovative InvestIN Partner Schools Programme.
As an InvestIN Partner School, St Mary’s will have priority access to a range of immersive career experiences, which offer students aged 15 to 18 a unique insight into key professions, including: investment banking, medicine, business, law, architecture, politics, journalism, engineering, psychology and computer science.
St Mary’s girls have already experienced the positive benefits of InvestIN’s Young Engineer, Young Banker, Young Doctor, Young Lawyer and Young Business Leader programmes. By becoming a Partner School, St Mary’s will also have access to additional InvestIN initiatives, such as in-school presentations and careers workshops.
InvestIN’s popular 1-day to 5-day programmes use interactive role play, seminars, case studies and Q&A sessions to deliver a 360-degree career experience. They have also launched a Beyond Programme, for 12-15 year-olds, to highlight the inspiring career paths that each curriculum subject can open up.
This exciting new partnership builds on St Mary’s School’s in-depth careers programme, which runs from Year 7 onwards and includes a broad programme of activities, events and work placements. InvestIN complements St Mary’s holistic approach which encourages girls to explore their personalities and passions, to make informed choices and to gain experiences that enable them to secure their future ambitions.
Kate Mead, Head of Careers at St Mary’s School comments: “We are delighted to partner with InvestIN, as their innovative, immersive programmes help young people to make well-informed decisions about the future and provide a real competitive advantage when it comes to securing the best university courses for their chosen career path.”
InvestIN is a London-based organisation led by a group of experienced professionals from some of the world’s most competitive careers. It provides students with an immersive experience of their dream career before they start university, so they can get a head-start over their competition. More than 25,000 students from 72 different countries have attended an InvestIN Programme which take place in cities around the world.
