Double Hub Celebrations on Results Day at Talbot Heath

22 August 2019

Talbot Heath students receiving GCSE results coincided with the exciting opening of the new STEAM Hub building on campus. This particularly resonated for a number of STEM enthusiasts, who excelled in the STEM subjects and achieved top levels in many of the sciences. Tears of joy from students, were followed by a flurry of tours in the new state of the art building, now ready as a hub of learning for students in September.

Results across the year group were excellent: 100 per cent of girls attained 5 or more GCSEs, with 52 per cent of girls achieving levels 7 – 9. Congratulations go to the seven modern language students from years 9 and 10, who sat their examination early, all achieved a level 9 in either Arabic, Chinese, French, German or Japanese. Also amongst the cohort were two national netballers who both scored well in their respective GCSEs – well done Emily and Courtney. National tennis player Abi attained seven GCSE grades, amidst her busy training schedule.

Mrs Holloway, stated how thrilled she was to welcome and congratulate students in the new Hub, adding, ‘It is a very exciting day for the students and the school community. I am extremely pleased with these results. The girls have once again shown their diverse abilities in a range of subjects and interests. The hard work, commitment and dedication of staff and pupils at Talbot Heath has once again been clearly reflected through these grades.’
