LEH School celebrates an outstanding set of GCSE Results

22 August 2019

Most impressively, over half the cohort achieved grades 9/8 (A*s) in 9 or 10 of their GCSE subjects, with 76% of exams graded 8-9 and 90% of all entries graded 7-9.

Among the notable achievements was a clean sweep of the top 9 grade in Drama, with all eleven students scoring the maximum grade.

There were some remarkable individual successes, with students combining sporting, musical and extra- curricular achievements with excellent exam results.

These fantastic results reflect the school’s commitment to all round distinction. LEH has seen investment over recent years to create an unrivalled centre of creative, academic, sporting and technological excellence just 10 miles from central London. The school has also extended its bursary programme in a drive to attract and develop bright, local pupils.

Head Mistress, Heather Hanbury stated: “Many congratulations to our girls on this superb set of results that reflect not only the hard work of our students but also of our dedicated teachers. I would also like to thank our parent body for their encouragement and support.

These excellent results are a strong foundation for moving on to our world-class sixth form, and we are also looking forward to welcoming the high achieving students from other schools who will be joining LEH in September.”
