St James Senior Girls’ School continues to maintain its reputation for combining pastoral care with consistently strong academic results by ensuring every girl is supported ‘to be the best she can’. STEM subjects results this year were notable, with over 50% of STEM subjects candidates achieving A*/A grades.

The majority of girls will now progress to their first choice university to study a variety of courses including Oxford (Maths, Sanskrit), St Andrews (Geography) and Durham (Modern Languages and Cultures, Liberal Arts).

Rachel, who will go on to study Maths at Oxford after having achieved 4A* grades (Biology, Maths, Further Maths and Physics), said, “I am ecstatic about my results and really looking forward to going to Oxford. A huge thank you to my teachers who made A levels such a good journey!”

Headmistress, Sarah Labram, commenting on the results, said: “We are delighted that the girls’ maturity and hard work have produced these A Level results, enabling them to develop their chosen focus of study. Our dedicated and supportive team of teaching staff are also immensely pleased for their pupils”.
