Katherine Bailey from Kilgraston School has won a place on the Scottish Youth Swimming Squad.
Her performance in the 200m Fly earned her a ‘gold time’ and caught the judges’ attention. The young swimmer is aiming to reach the 2020 Tokyo Olympic trials next April and, longer term, the next Commonwealth Games, hosted by Birmingham in 2022.
As part of the Squad, Katherine will receive additional support with training and physiotherapy.
The Scottish Youth Squad is scheduled to attend the Geneva Meet in Switzerland at the beginning of 2020.
