St Mary’s Calne was delighted to have been shortlisted for Tatler’s prestigious annual ‘Public School of The Year’ trophy at the Tatler Schools Awards – the only girls’ school to have been selected for this accolade.
The shortlist of five leading UK independent schools: St Mary’s Calne, Brighton College, Canford, Harrow, and St Paul’s School (Barnes) proved to be a hotly contested competition – congratulations to Canford who were victorious this year.
St Mary’s Calne was also selected to feature in the Tatler Schools Guide 2020 (their research teams shortlisted 350 schools in the UK which were then distilled down to the final 244 of the UK’s finest independent schools).
Tatler praised St Mary’s, ‘a place where students can develop their full potential and sense of self‘ offering ‘a bespoke education with an emphasis on the individual‘ with ‘strong academic results and well-known sporting prowess‘. With our extensive range of extra-curricular activities and opportunities in Art, Drama, Music and Sport enriching the curriculum at St Mary’s, we do agree that, ‘there really is something for everyone at St Mary’s‘.
