U14 Hockey Team Makes Queen Margaret’s History

29 November 2019

In a School steeped in history that has stood proud since 1901, Queen Margaret’s U14 Hockey Team have made their own mark in the School’s heritage by securing their place in the Tier 2 national Hockey finals. As one of only two Yorkshire schools to reach the finals of this prestigious tournament the girls certainly have something to celebrate.

Sue Baillie, Head said “We are a small School with big ambitions. Built upon a firm foundation of tradition, Queen Margaret’s has a long, established background of nurturing girls into independent confident young ladies equipped with the mindset that they can achieve anything. Our girls take full advantage of all the many opportunities available to them – whether that be inside or outside of the classroom. We are immensely proud of how well the girls have done in this tournament, which demonstrates great teamwork and is credit to their sheer grit and determination to succeed. I wish them the very best of luck for the finals in March.”

The girls will compete against eight schools in the national finals in March 2020.
