Eco-concious GSA students encouraging their schools to be ‘greener’

Student campaigns in two GSA schools are profiled in this Independent article.

At Pipers Corner School, which now has an “environmentalist in residence” students as young as 5 successfully campaigned for a new gutter to catch rain water, while at Sheffield High School students are active in their efforts to reduce air pollution.

Nina Gunson, head of the girls’ school, says that both Greta Thunberg and David Attenborough have been hugely influential in encouraging the girls to set up eco-committees and push through change on the issues they see as vital to the future.
