Benenden School Seminar – De-mystifying the US University Application Process, 29 April 2020

13 March 2020

Supporting students with applications to US universities: a one-day seminar/workshop course for staff development Wednesday 29 April 2020 9.30am-3.30pm The US and Canada have become popular university destinations with pupils and supporting their applications alongside UCAS and other activities can be tricky. US applications take more time and are more complicated with admissions tests, application essays and alumni interviews. There are also over 4000 US universities and Colleges to choose from, many of which have very competitive entry. The provisional course programme will cover:
  • The US University and College landscape
  • US university admission tests
  • The Common application and writing Essays for US institutions
  • Writing references for US applications
  • Sports Scholarships to the US
This course will cost ÂŁ150 (Independent Schools) or ÂŁ80 (Maintained schools) and will include lunch and refreshments. Please email Mrs Jane Gerrard [email protected] if you would like to reserve a place. We hope you and your colleagues will be able to make it and very much look forward to welcoming you to Benenden School for what will be an interesting and informative event. View the flyer here.
