Maia Tollerton, a Year 9 student at St Mary’s School, Cambridge, is thrilled that her artwork has been chosen from over 17,000 entries to be exhibited online at this year’s Royal Academy’s Young Artists’ Summer Show.
Maia’s artwork, ‘Shell Drawing’, is an A4 depiction in graphite pencil of a Cowrie Shell, developed as part of a natural forms project at St Mary’s School, Cambridge. The online exhibition will be available to view online from 12 July 2020.
This is one of many artistic successes that St Mary’s students have recently achieved. Year 13 student Grace Hull has had her artwork (pictured below) shortlisted for the national annual photographic competition, ‘Beyond the Frame’, run by the Norwich University of the Arts (NUA).
