St Helen and St Katharine A-level results 2020

13 August 2020

This summer we are not only celebrating a fantastic set of A-level results but also the resilience of students and staff through this extraordinary period of change and uncertainty. 95.9% of grades achieved were A*–B and 83.6% were A*–A, a testament to the St Helen’s spirit, the ‘per severa’ attitude which has prevailed throughout remote learning. Our Upper Sixth students now move on to their next chapter with well-deserved pride and confidence.

Headmistress Rebecca Dougall said: “I am so very proud of our Upper Sixth leavers today. Amongst all the trials and tribulations, the worry and the nonsense, they have emerged brilliantly. Their resilience and their hard work have shone through and now they can turn to bright futures. There is so much to be proud of. I also want to pay tribute to our teaching team who have worked so hard through this period to ensure that courses were completed and students supported, much of it done without the benefit of face-to-face contact.”
