The girls enjoyed dressing up in denim to raise funds for this good cause. Jeans for Genes Day is one of many fundraising events that St Mary’s Junior School takes part in to raise money for good causes throughout the year. An annual Fun Run, in which the girls dress up in fancy dress and take part in a race, has raised many thousands of pounds over the last few years for a range of local, national and international charities, including Tom’s Trust and SENSE. Funds raised by the generous school community also enabled a school in Zimbabwe to open its doors to local children in January 2020.
Junior School pupil Aria undertook an amazing fundraising challenge in August; she cycled more than 202km and raised over £2100 for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust.
