St Mary’s girls celebrate sporting success

2 January 2021

Despite currently having to practice our sport in lockdown, we are delighted to be able to continue to share sporting news as a result of the time beforehand when we were enjoying sport together at our new state-of-the-art facility at Long Road. We are also still running our sports lessons for all St Mary’s girls, albeit remotely of course. We are #stillStMarys in every way.

Georgia and Matilda awarded the Sir Arthur Marshall Future Champions

Huge congratulations to two Senior School students who have been awarded the Sir Arthur Marshall Future Champions award in support of their achievements in swimming.

Georgia M., Year 11, and Matilda R., Year 10, have both been awarded the award which provides grant aid to young athletes who compete at county or regional and national level.

The programme is open to all athletes aged 11 to 25 to support their sporting talent and is supported by the Marshall of Cambridge Trust in memory of Sir Arthur Marshall.

St Mary’s girls selected for Cambridgeshire County Hockey teams

We are thrilled to share that huge congratulations are in order for both to Emma A. (Yr10) and Jessica A. (Yr9) who have both been selected into the Cambridgeshire County Hockey teams for U16/17 and U14 age group, respectively.

We are all really proud of your achievement girls and we look forward to congratulating you both in person when we are back on the Astroturf, at Long Road!
