Victoria Becomes Student Advisory Group Chair

27 January 2021

She was among the first fifteen students nationally chosen as a member of the Group at its inception last January, and now continues her involvement for another year as the chair. She and her fellow Student Advisory Group members joined AQA‘s Chief Executive Colin Hughes, some AQA staff and Trustees, and MP for Liverpool Riverside Kim Johnson for the first meeting of 2021, which took place on Zoom. In breakout rooms, the Group discussed school, qualifications and exam support.

Victoria said: ‘Although everyone couldn’t meet in person, we had a fantastic evening filled with lively and engaging discussions. I very much enjoyed meeting the new members of the group, as well as joining old members and AQA staff. I’m looking forward to see what exciting themes will come to fruition in 2021.’

AQA is the UK’s largest provider of academic qualifications for schools and colleges and was the first exam board to establish a Student Advisory Group.

In addition, and alongside her A Level studies, Victoria has been volunteering for the Covid vaccination programme as a member of St John’s Ambulance. She is currently a Vaccination Care Volunteer and Logistics Volunteer, supporting members of the public at the Manchester Etihad site, where she also recognises and deals with medical emergencies. She has helped to pack vaccination training resources behind the scenes as well.
