Abbot’s Hill School launches a ‘Virtual Bookshelf’ to bring the library home

3 February 2021

Bringing the library to our pupils…

The library doors remain shut for the time being as remote learning continues. Abbot’s Hill have been thinking of innovative ways to bring school home and are very happy to announce that we have launched the Virtual Bookshelf.

The Virtual Bookshelf aims to be a digital version of our wonderful library and knowledgeable Librarian and English teachers who are armed with hundreds of book recommendations. Each day of the week we will be posting recommended reads for different year groups, across all sorts of genres and lengths. Hopefully there will be something for everyone.

Pupils have been encouraged to get involved by either sharing their recommended books for their year group, writing a book review or rating recent books they’ve read out of 5 stars.

Even the staff have joined and are sharing their Desert Island Books.
