Nine pupils at Monmouth School for Girls are celebrating after being selected for Cricket Wales’ female junior squads for this season.
Lotte Matthews has picked to play for Wales Under-15s, while Grace Fernandez-Ford, Sophie Williams, Emily Vizard and Carys Evans have been chosen for Wales Under-13s.
There is also recognition for Ellie Walsh, Meghan Ridyard, Jess Law and Bella Collett, who have been named in the Wales Under-12 Development Squad.
It is wonderful to see the students picked for the girls’ squads and their selection is testament to their hard work, commitment and dedication to the sport.
Mr Callum Bassett-Jones, Mr Steve James and Mr Andy Jones enjoyed coaching the girls at school during their winter cricket programme.
