It has been a joyful morning of celebration for the Year 11 pupils and families at Cranford House as they collected a truly exceptional set of GCSE results. As a year group they have overcome incredible challenges that they could never have expected through lockdowns and covid restrictions but as ever they have approached school with a sense of fun, determination, curiosity, kindness and generosity of spirit.
In keeping with previous years, pupils displayed an outstanding academic performance across all subjects with the results achieved by this year’s GCSE cohort mirroring the high results that have been attained in previous years. The strong standard of this year’s GCSE results is a testament to the hard work and dedication pupils put into their studies through this difficult time and the class of 2021 have much to be proud of.
It’s been a true privilege watching this year group grow and mature into the confident, charismatic individuals they are today and no doubt they’ll carry this same determination and enthusiasm into their A Level studies as we welcome them into Sixth Form this September.
Headmaster, Dr James Raymond paid tribute to the hard work and dedication of this year’s GCSE pupils and the unwavering support of teaching staff: “I am delighted to be able to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our Year 11 students this summer. They are the most exceptional group of young people who have tackled the challenges of recent months with both dedication to their studies and also a deep sense of shared community, generosity of spirit and kindness towards each other and across the school. I am very proud of each and every one of them and their academic achievements throughout their time at Cranford House. I know they will all go on to great success as they move forward into Sixth Form!”
