JCG A-level results 2021 – A note from Carl Howarth, Principal

10 August 2021

“Our students have inspired us all and we delight in their incredible success; we always knew that if they achieve what they are capable of achieving they will astound themselves and they have.

As with all aspects of life over the past 18 months, our students and staff have had to respond to an evolving assessment framework. I am inspired by the resilience, courage and determination of our students. The close partnership with their teachers has enabled them to thrive in the toughest of circumstances. I am equally indebted to our staff who displayed such great care and immense professionalism in working with a new system and using their good judgement to provide an accurate – and the fairest – assessment of each student’s performance.

Our students have shown true grit in overcoming obstacles and not diminishing their desire to be the very best person they can be. While their final year has been strange, I have no doubt that their experience will propel them onto the world’s stage with the confidence and the skills to navigate uncertainty in whatever guise and use their gifts to improve the lives of others.

Students: We are proud, so very proud of everything you have achieved. Congratulations on your superb results but more importantly on the remarkable people you are. We will miss you though know wherever you go and whatever you do, you will always be part of our JCG family.

Parents: Thank you for entrusting us with your daughter’s education and for being our partner surrounding her with belief, encouragement and possibly a little patience at times. I know you too will delight in her achievement today and the person she has become.

And to all our staff: Once again, thank you. Thank you for stepping up so brilliantly in such times.”
