“She is a key member of the school’s first team and the Severn Stars Nova Academy in Monmouth.”

Severn Stars Netball is a joint franchise between the University of Worcester and University of Gloucestershire and a member of the Vitality Super League, the top level in British club netball.

in April 2020, Monmouth School for Girls teamed up with the club to run the Severn Stars Under-17 Nova Academy for talented netball players.

The school host its Nova Academy on a weekly basis, providing under-17 players with training sessions, strength and conditioning programmes and provision, high level technical training, sports therapy and off-court support.

The aim of Severn Stars’ Nova Academy programme is to engage with the surrounding area and develop a pool of young talent.

Mrs Morgan added: “Ella has shown dedication and commitment to her netball and thoroughly deserves her selection for the Severn Stars Under-17s squad. This is a wonderful opportunity for Ella and we will be offering her support and advice throughout.
