TEDxWimbledonHighSchool – now available to watch!

20 May 2022

With talks on the theme of ‘Future’ – from ‘Happily ever after’ to Digital Twins in architecture, from the Slum Safari to Our Shakespeare Problem – TEDx at Wimbledon High School gave the audience much food for thought.

Now that all talks have been approved by TEDx for publication, head to our TEDx webpage to watch the recordings of each speaker: Watch recordings

Head Ms Kennedy said: “We were treated to an incredible range and breadth of topics and speakers, from Year 6 to 13, but most of all I was so proud of the confidence, articulation and maturity on display that night. After Easter, I invited Allegra in Year 8 to open our staff study day with her talk on Thinking on the edge about tomorrow. As one of the visiting GDST leadership team wrote afterwards: ‘After everything we have lived through in not only the past few weeks, but also the past few years, I have been reminded that the future really is in safe hands.’”

Head of Juniors, Ms Boyd said: “Delivering a TEDx talk is never a mean feat but for our two Year 6 pupils, it is particularly impressive. Eva and Anoushka blew us away with their incisive ideas about what the future holds for the children of tomorrow. Not only did they deliver punchy messages about the need for us all to take personal responsibility for how we show up in the world, they did so with humour and empathy. What stars!”
