Two students at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools have been successful in their applications to take part in an English Subject Exploration Day at the University of Oxford this month.
Nye Jones and Maddie Bainbridge, from Year 12, will attend academic taster sessions, receive a tour of St John’s College, and find out about the English undergraduate degree and application process from tutors and current students.
This day-long event will take place on Saturday 18th June and gives Maddie and Nye the chance to discover more about studying English at Oxford.
Nye and Maddie attend the Oxbridge Preparation Programme and ELAT study sessions run by Monmouth Schools Sixth Form’s UCAS+ Coordinator, Dr Rachel Thompson, and are planning to apply to Oxford to read English.
