Children at Monmouth Prep School sparkled with catchy songs and high-energy dance numbers in their joyous two-night production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR.
The boys and girls, from Years 3 to 6, dazzled in their first whole-school performance for parents, relatives and friends since The Grange site became fully co-educational in September; it was a spectacular example of cross-schools co-operation.
The pupils also shone in a tech rehearsal in front of a fabulous audience of children from local primary schools.
Ms Rhyan Parry, Mr Joe Walton and Mr David Murray co-ordinated the whole-school musical and praised the cast, who were truly outstanding.
The production was an overwhelming success and promises to be the first of many by the girls and boys in Years 3 to 6 at Monmouth Prep School.
