Students at Derby High School today celebrated outstanding GCSE results with 78% of entries awarded at the top grades 7-9 (A*/A) and 60% achieving grades 8/9. 37% of the year group were awarded grades of A*/A in all their subjects, which is an incredible achievement.
Amy Chapman, Head of Derby High is delighted and says: “These are stunning results and they reflect the hard work of all the students, teachers and supportive parents. It was a privilege to be amongst so many happy students this morning. We look forward to seeing many of them return to us in September as they join our highly successful Sixth Form. One of the best outcomes is that our students made such excellent progress in their time at Derby High. They really responded well to excellent teaching and staff that believed in them.”
