Last week, students from Year 7 and 8 headed over to King’s College School, as part of a growing partnership between Wimbledon High and KCS (building on the work of the Charter). A number of Year 7 students had already formed friendships with their KCS counterparts in their partnership teambuilding sessions when they were in Year 6, in our Junior School (read here).
With more collaboration on joint projects in the pipeline, the session on Tuesday saw the students go head to head in a mini sports afternoon. They had lots of fun, taking part in friendly competitive games such as spikeball, badminton, volleyball and more.
On 5 October we will be hosting The Charter Student Leadership Conference on the theme: ‘Civil Discourse and Building inclusive communities’, when WHS and KCS students will be joined by 20 other schools and some exciting guest speakers. Watch this space…
