As their Spring Term closes, Sussex independent school Burgess Hill Girls is celebrating a set of Excellent reports by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
The ISI spent close to a week at Burgess Hill Girls in February 2023, conducting a thorough evaluation of the quality of the school’s work in terms of the achievement and personal development of pupils. The evaluation was achieved via discussions and questionnaires with pupils, staff, governors and parents, visits to areas of the schools, observation of lessons and activities and examination of pupils work and other school documentation.
Burgess Hill Girls Head Lars Fox, who joined the school in September 2023, is delighted to have received such positive feedback for all areas of the school.
“We are exceptionally proud of everything that is achieved by our students but also of all our staff in their devotion to helping students become the best versions of themselves. It is pleasing to see the excellent work we are doing confirmed by the ISI reports.
“There were many positive comments in both reports, but the one that stood out for me was, ‘Pupils say they get on well explaining, “It’s that kind of place; you can be yourself and no one will judge you.”.’ This quote completely reflects our supportive and empowering community.”
