The Mathematics Department at Bolton School Girls’ Division has been out in the community, delivering after-school Maths enrichment classes for Year 6 pupils at Lostock Primary School. This year also saw participation from pupils from nearby St Bernard’s, Pikes Lane, Haslam Park and St Mary’s primary schools.
The classes, part of the School’s outreach work, are aimed at able and talented pupils and aim to provide challenging, fun activities which are beyond the scope of the primary curriculum and to give a taste of the mathematics covered at senior school level.
